Welcome to my very first blog post!
While most people might not think it’s a big deal, I’m pretty excited about it! When you consider that the extent of my technological skills peaked when I figured out how to forward an email, learning to get a domain name and publish anything online is amazing!
The really big deal is that I’ve come to believe that I actually have something to say that might be of value to anyone. A little over 19 years ago, I found myself living in a self-storage building (and not one of those fancy high dollar climate controlled units either!) and faced with the certainty that I had failed at everything. I did not matter. While I don’t recommend this method, it proved to be very effective in creating within me a teachable spirit! Its hard to argue with any reasonable suggestion or advice that offers any hope at all when you are, in and of yourself, hopeless.
Fast forward to now: I’m blessed to have been a husband to my amazing wife Jamie for nearly 18 years. Together we have 8 awesome children, and experience the joy of 16, yes 16, of the most beautiful grandchildren in the world (and we’ve got the pictures to prove it)! We’re not rich, but we are happy, content, and will be debt free this week! What’s just as important as the outward changes in my life, is what has happened inside, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. To sum it all up: I matter! and at 51 years old I’m more excited about life than ever. I cant wait to see what’s next!
So what’s in this for you? Each week I’ll be sharing new posts on how I got from there to here. Hopefully you will find it encouraging, empowering, thought provoking and maybe entertaining. The principals and lessons I’ve learned along the way will work for anyone willing to apply them. The good news is that you don’t have to start from homeless and hopeless to get motivated! An open mind will do!
Thanks for joining me on this journey! Talk to you next week!
